In the 19th century, smallar teams of boys began to play football in schools throughout Britain. Teachers hoped the game would teach them strength, courage and how to work as a team. Football now moved from the streets to special school playing fields known as pitches. Each pitch had goalmouths at either end for the teams to score. There were still no set rules, though. Each school simply made up their own. Some allowed players to trip each other up. Some allowed them to kick each other in the shins. And others even let them pick the ball up and run with it.

I like soccer very much. There are some story written about football in this book. For example rules, matches and even the American football!! I like "Chapter 4 Going grobal" Now, football is famous for all over the world. The international Federation of Football Associations(FIFA) founded in 1904. This group was created to make sure every country played by the same rules. So soccer spread around the globe, different players added their own special skills..! I recommend this book for interested in football.
